Project Counsel for a seven-story tall market rate apartment building in Culver City, California. Mr. Tiwana was hired directly by Client, Developer of the Project and a Large Multi-National Residential Developer, based on prior work. Authored and Negotiated Client’s Contract with the Project’s General Contractor, a Cost Plus Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract. Project under construction.

Counsel for Architect Regarding a 65+ Million Dollar Lawsuit Alleging Delay, Change Order and Defects Claims in Construction of Large Multi-Family Building

Counsel of Record for the Architect in a large lawsuit alleging construction delay, cost overruns and construction defect claims. Plaintiff claimed over $65 Million in damages. Representation resolved with settlement after 6+ years of litigation and client was one of the first parties to settle out of the lawsuit. The underlying construction is 500+ apartments above a large 12-acre multi-level parking garage and other amenities. Over 30+ parties were named as defendants in the lawsuit.
